National Teacher's Day, Teachers Request To Evaluate Struggle
Rakyat Digital.The Indonesian Republika Teachers Association (PGRI) allows all teachers to celebrate National Teacher's Day (HGN) on this day as a moment of togetherness. But then, the teacher was asked to evaluate the struggle that needed to be improved in order to advance the world of education.
Ketum PB PGRI Unifah Rasidi said that HGN must be filled with excitement, abandoning routine and long work issues. With that celebration, the teacher can momentarily take the time off to fight for the advancement of education so far.
"Let all the education personnel have fun. But there are reflections there to know which struggles should be improved. What is crucial in the world of teachers that must be resolved. For example, lack of teachers and attention to honorary teachers.
Unifah advised the teacher to adapt to the latest technological advancements. The application of technology to education, he said, needs to be implemented. Even PGRI, he continued, provided teachers with the ease of using the latest technology.
"There is a change in the environment of the education environment where the application of educational technology enters learning. Because of the inclusion of the 4.0 industrial revolution, teachers are turning into agents of change," he said.
He said that PGRI had tried to strengthen the quality of teachers with various trainings and competitions. So that the teacher's professionalism is increasingly improved as the times progress.
"We now celebrate the HGN not only healthy, there are activities to strengthen the capacity of teachers such as learning creativity competitions, teachers writing. There is continuing professionalism," he added.
