Prabowo Subianto Promises Food Self-Sufficiency
Kanal Utama. Prospective President Prabowo Subianto stated that three things were needed to make Indonesia a strong and prosperous country. The first is doing self-sufficiency in food, the second is self-sufficiency in fuel energy, and the last is doing self-sufficiency in water.
"If there are not three self-sufficiency, we will find it difficult to be strong and prosperous," Prabowo said in front of hundreds of Solo Raya volunteers at The Sunan Hotel, Solo, Central Java, in a release received Friday (11/23).
Therefore, Prabowo with Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno and his team who are members of the Prabowo-Sandi National Winning Body of the Adil Makmur Coalition have learned to create self-sufficiency in the not too distant future.
"Our team has learned to create self-sufficiency in the not too distant future because we have to win the 2019 election. If we win then we will correct the wrong, and implement the strategy in creating self-sufficiency," said Prabowo.
In addition, the Chairperson of the Gerindra Party DPP also explained that if he and Sandiaga won the 2019 Presidential Election, the first thing he did in carrying out the self-sufficiency strategy was to choose the nation's best sons and daughters to help him in the government cabinet.
"When we win, the first thing we do is gather the best people in this country. We need capable people, who are reliable, capable, and also have an end. We don't need smart people but thieves," Prabowo said.
Prabowo explained that currently there are a lot of government policies that are very detrimental to the people of Indonesia. Because, many sugarcane farmers in the East Java region have to lose money because the government issued a sugar import policy when sugarcane farmers will harvest.
The same goes for rice farmers in the Klaten area of Central Java who have to lose money because when they are going to harvest, the government opens imported rice from abroad.
"In East Java, sugar cane farmers have to lose because once they want to harvest the government, they actually import sugar, so do farmers in Klaten, when they want to harvest rice comes imported from abroad. So we see the Indonesian government does not defend its own people," he added.
Therefore, he and his team will fight hard to be self-sufficient to improve the welfare of the Indonesian people, especially farmers and fishermen. In addition, Prabowo will also work hard to secure state assets sourced from natural resources not to be taken abroad by a group of people.
"The policies of managing this country are not easy but it is also not difficult if the intention is good, if the intention is right, it wants to prosper the people's welfare. And the last thing that makes our nation weaker is that the government issues a volume 16 economic policy package that provides the greatest opportunity to foreign parties to control 28 industrial sector sectors. This makes our people helpless. We surrender to foreign nations, "he said.
